Kreativ Blogger Award

My good friend Bunny from I'm Just Say'n passed this award on to me.

Thanks Bun, for thinking enough of me to do so and Congratulations on being a recipient!

I've been blogging for just a short time now and find that it allows me an opportunity to express myself and share with others just what I'm feeling; good or otherwise.  Of course you never know who'll be reading what you write.  Some will agree, others disagree with what you have to say and that's all part of the fun.

The other part is that there truly is an amazing amount of creatively interesting people in this world.  So to those of you if fit into that category, my hat is off to you for allowing yourself to be vulnerable to the rest of the world.  Continue to use your talent in which ever way you see fit whether it be designing, storytelling, encouraging, writing, performing or blogging, for in the words of William Shakespeare:
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts...

One of our parts seems to be that of the blogger, no?

As a recipient of this gracious award I am required to follow certain steps in order to keep hold and not have my award withdrawn.  Darn, nothing in this life is free!  But, in this case, I find it a joy to be able to share my friends and their talents with you so here are the rules.  Read carefully for if you received an award from me,  you too will need to follow through.

1. Thank the person who gave this to you
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog
3. Link back to the person who nominated you
4. Name 7 things about yourself that no one would really know....
5. Nominate seven 'Kreativ Bloggers'
6. Post links to the seven blogs you nominate
7. Leave a comment on each blog letting them know you nominated them...

Seven Things about myself no one really knows..................
1.  I'm afraid I've lost my ability to sing.  Since having laryngitis earlier this year, I feel like I never recovered completely.
2.  I had two surgeries in one week.  One planned, the other a total surprise.
3.  I'm totally, absurdly allergic to calcium in any form.  Yes, really.
4.  I always wanted four children and even though I have four, only one is my natural child.  God does answer prayers even if it isn't in the way we expect!
5.  I miss acting and dancing something terrible (like all the time).  I'm sad that, for the most part, my time has passed.
6.  My first car was a Volkswagen bug.  Because it's so small, I was always afraid I would get in an accident and break my legs, leaving me unable to dance.
7.  I often dream of moving to Spain.  I think I'm just not over Flamenco and wish I could still be dancing. Hey!  I can dream.

Here are 6 bloggers I would like to pass this award on to...(sorry, I know it should be 7 but some of those I follow are not blogging these days..hmmmm...)

2. Norma @ Blogeritaville
6. Ruben @  Rattus Scribus

Chère cousine! Thank you for awarding me with this award...wow, first BUnny, now you. How fun! I didn't know that you were allergic to calcium! What do you do about getting the required amount? Oh...Spain for the retirement years. Maybe we would be neighbors because when Ruben saw Sarlat, France, he said, "Let's retire here." No problem! Thanks also for giving him an award as well; when he wakes up at the hour that "normal" people awake, I will let him know. He will be thrilled. Isn't he just gushing over with smarts? Ah....OH! Thanks for coming around the fireside. We are starting to feel the Minnesota chill and it's time to send up the heat, but it sure is cozy. Someday dearest, you will have a cozy fireside corner to write! You are well on your way, and yes, a good rain shower is much needed in a good part of the country... Love you, Anita

I don't know how to thank you for nominating me for this award. I think I understand something of the feeling of our time "passing." I started everything later in life. I only finally completed my PhD in late 2007. I'm 53, so how long did it take?

But I am convinced that nothing truly passes. We just find other ways to keep expressing our gifts and yearnings. I never thought that I could say openly, "I am a writer." I grew with too little self-confidence and no educational or professional heritage for that. Keep blogging dear cousin, because you have truly found another way to dance.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog Rattus Scribus and Rattus' Tales. I really try to bring thought, encouragement and laughter to my readers.

You deserved the Kreativ Blogger award.

Three cheers, a hoot, and rrrrr

Rattus

Anita and Ruben, I applaud you both. Not only have you managed to follow your dreams, you have a great heart for encouraging others. While some become so consumed with where their own lives are going they forget to lift others up, you two manage to do both. I'm proud to share the same blood. Ruben, though we aren't directly related by blood, somehow or another I think it might have seeped in through that first layer of skin and just kept on going. There's a smiley face for you somewhere in this writing.

Dearest Marie, it made me so very sad to see how much you miss performing, dancing, acting, all of it. And yes ... it is frightening how quickly time passes ... 25, 26, 28 FIFTY!!!! Dayum. Like Ruben said, your writing is how you continue to dance. And I remember seeing you dance and you were FABULOUS. You've had incredible experiences ... studying and living in Spain, traveling to the Orient ... just not enough time to do it all but at least you can say YOU DID IT! love you so much.
